Warrior Lacrosse Signs MLL Finals MVP Kyle Hartzell

Warren, MI. — Warrior Sports announced today the signing of Kyle Hartzell to an endorsement contract. Hartzell is regarded as one of the top longstick midfielders in the game today and will be used in a variety of marketing and advertising initiatives at the company.

“Being part of the warrior team is a true honor, Warrior is the biggest and best in the lacrosse world and being able to represent the brand on and off the field is a dream come true,” Hartzell says. “As physical as I like to play, it will be nice to know I can lay tons of lumber and have the best shafts in the game to lean on. ”

In the 2010 Major League Lacrosse Finals, Hartzell helped lead his Chesapeake Bayhawks to their third league title and was the first-ever longstick to be named the MVP of Championship Weekend. In the semifinal game vs. Boston, he held MLL standout Paul Rabil pointless, then followed up in the championship game by limiting one of the league’s best midfielders, Stephen Berger, scoreless as well.

Kyle was also a member of the Washington Stealth that won the NLL Championship in 2010.

Collegiately, the Maryland native played at Salisbury University where he was one of the top players in the program’s history. His senior year, Hartzell was an All-American and team captain and helped guide his team to the NCAA Division III National Championship. He was also named First Team All-Conference.

“Kyle is just a big physical athlete that plays a really exciting brand of lacrosse that you don’t see a lot these days from defensive players,” says Mark Millon, Sports Marketing Director at Warrior. “He is a tremendous on-ball longstick that will look to take the ball away from the guys he guards. He is also a blue collar type of guy that picks up gb’s and can do some damage in transition. Kyle also does a lot with youth lacrosse and has some great ideas for product, so I’m thrilled to have him out there representing the brand.”
