Washington College Lacrosse Alumni Game Gear

The Charlie Moloney Memorial Alumni Game was held this past Sunday at Washington College. WAC had over 60 former Shoremen come back to Chestertown to play in the much anticipated event. Even MLL All-Star, Stephen Berger, participated. The alumni gear features a cartoon version of the school’s new mascot, Gus the Goose. The lacrosse shorts were produced by OT Sports. The reversibles and shorts both display a four leaf clover with Charlie Moloney’s initials.

The Shoremen jumped out to an early lead started by Senior Pat Coyle while Seniors Matt Lewis and Bennett Cord led the way with 3 points apiece. Freshman Sid Looney was a noticeable fresh face in the midfield scoring twice while the Shoremen also saw contributions from a large number of new members of the team. The alums pulled back within striking distance in the third quarter when a diving goal from Stephen Berger made it 12-9. That would be as close as the Alums would get as the game ended with a 15-10 score.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
