Located in Chestertown, Maryland, Washington College (WAC) is the 10th-oldest college in the United States and was the first college chartered after American independence. The college is known athletically for its men’s lacrosse team. It won the 1998 NCAA Division III National Championship and a share of the 1954 USILA Laurie Cox Division National Championship. The men’s lacrosse team has participated in the NCAA Division II or III Tournament 28 times since 1974 and the NCAA Division III Championship game eight times. The Shoremen are wearing White Rome gloves from Maverik in 2012. The gloves encompass Black stitching with a Maroon/Black checker pattern down the two-finger split. The team’s logo, Goose, is embellished on the cuff in Black. Stay tuned for more gear from WAC. In the mean time, visit Goosenationlax.com for everything about WAC on and off the field.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.

Sweet gloves, but isn’t the Goose upside-down (relative to the big Maverik logo right next to it)?
