BALTIMORE (3/12/2015) — The lacrosse world fans have spoken and a Titan was at the top of their list as University of Detroit Mercy sophomore goalie Jason Weber was voted Inside Lacrosse’s Player of the Week on Wednesday, March 11.

Weber received more than 27.0 percent of the fan voting in becoming the first Titan in school history to earn the honor.

The three-time MAAC Defensive Player of the Week and reigning Defensive Player of the Year broke his own school record with 28 saves against Mercer last week, March 4, in a 12-7 Detroit victory.

The 28 saves tied a MAAC record set in 2004 and was five more than his previous high of 23 against Marist last year.

Weber and the Titans will have a road contest at Air Force this Saturday, March 14, with game time slated for 2:00 p.m.
