Aloha Tournaments partners with the One Love Foundation in Honor of Yeardley Reynolds Love for two Fall Lacrosse Tournaments

Aloha Tournaments announced today that it is partnering with the One Love Foundation in Honor of Yeardley Reynolds Love for two of its existing fall lacrosse tournaments. Both the Brine Chesapeake Lacrosse Cup and the Brine Indian Summer Lacrosse Tournament will be jointly presented by Aloha Tournaments and the One Love Foundation. The events will allow the One Love Foundation the opportunity to educate lacrosse players and their families on its mission to end relationship violence and to raise funds for the Foundation. A portion of every registration fee will go directly to the One Love Foundation.

“We are very pleased to be working with the One Love Foundation for these two events,” states Aloha Tournaments co-founder Ray Schulmeyer. “We strongly believe in its mission and are glad that we can provide One Love with an outlet to promote its message while raising funds for the foundation at the same time.”

“Our partnership with Aloha helps us connect with a younger demographic through the game of lacrosse that Yeardley loved so much.  We will help educate the parents, coaches and athletes about the warning signs of relationship violence, and share with them the tools that the One Love Foundation offers, so we can eliminate the devastating effects of relationship violence.” –Olive Waxter, Community Outreach Coordinator

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling.
