Providence, R.I. – Brown seniors Nick Piroli (Black River, NY) and Nick Weeden (Broad Run, VA) have been named to the 2015 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Academic All-New England Team. Both played significant roles in helping Brown to a 12-5 record, the Ivy League Championship and NCAA Playoff berth.

Playing in the first midfield, he scored 10 goals and ranks second on the Brown team with 24 assists. Piroli, who had a goal and three assists vs. Dartmouth, came up big in Brown’s win over #10 Cornell with two goals and an assist. A BEO concentrator, he had two assists vs. Yale and had a key goal in the Bears win over #9 Princeton.

Weeden is one of the unsung heroes of the lacrosse team, playing a major role in the defensive midfield. He picked up 15 ground balls and registered two goals, scoring against Quinnipiac and Bucknell. A Biology concentrator, Weeden also chipped in with four assists for the season.
