Chesapeake Bayhawk Defenseman Ray Megill has stiff competition this year. Fans have the option of nominating Megill, London Fletcher of Washington Redskins, Matt Capps of Washington Nationals, Mike Green of Washington Capitals, and more.

Ray sat down with us last year as a Boston Cannon to discuss his gear.

Ray has:

• Made it his mission to help improve the sport of lacrosse where he now resides, in Montgomery County, MD
• In 2008, Ray formed Performance Lacrosse, LLC., which is a lacrosse training and coaching company dedicated to improving players entire game
• Ray has recruited many local coaches to provide top-notch private training and, this summer, has formed travel teams to play in local tournaments which allow local players to compete at the best levels and get exposure for eventual college level play
• Future goals for Performance Lacrosse include a recruiting division and a lacrosse specific training facility for year round training and conditioning

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
