Club Brogue Uniforms

We have all had them, uniforms, but getting them is only half of the fun!  Well, that’s just what we had when we got our custom threads, or at least tried to from Laxwear for months.  However, after those months we had nothing to show for them before the Show-Me games in Columbia, Missouri.  We had quite the dilemma, so having the connections that I have, I contacted a friend of mine on the East Coast to see if he knew anyone that could help us get some uniforms in just a matter of weeks.  Yep I said it, weeks!  Low and behold, Matt LoNigro at Port Jefferson Sporting Goods said it would not be an issue.  In fact, he got to work on them right away, which was a tremendous relief to everyone involved.  This was a classic example of a lacrosse good company seeing a customer in need and coming through, and Club Brogue and myself are forever grateful because they turned out awesome!  I can’t even say how many people have tried to buy them right off of my body.

Port Jefferson Sports is located in Port Jefferson Station, New York.  I would suggest if you ever need anything, give them a call because they will not only meet your needs, but exceed them in every way!  The store has been family owned and operated for the past 40 years, which goes to show the stability and dedication in their work.  They are a tight family unit, and are very knowledgeable, and always willing to take the time to explain any element of lacrosse whenever needed.  The company has grown from a simple “mom and pop” store, to a competing, national power that is ranked in the top 10 as far as dealers go annually.  That basically means they DO WORK!  Owner Richie LoNigro ran the for a long time, while his lovely wife Priscilla raised 11 kids.  Yes, that’s right, 11 kids, and I seriously don’t know how she did it.  That just adds to the family business and the strong foundation of dedication to the business, overall.  With their recent move, Port Jeff Sports did so in order to better serve the customers and community as a total unit.  Convenience is the key with this store, and they always want to make everything as easy on the consumer as possible.  You can check out their website here, and be on the look out because they are in the process of creating their online retail store to break into the e-commerce side so they are not just the brick-and-mortar establishment anymore.

As always I can’t go without showing off a few more pictures, but bare with me, these were taken with my phone as my camera is MIA for the moment, so please enjoy these works of art:

And they were reversible too!

As always if you need anything feel free to email me at [email protected] or shoot me a message on Twitter @TheRealHag

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
