CollegeLAX TV to Offer Teams Free Live-streaming Service

Atlanta, GA (08/15/2011) – CollegeLAX is pleased to announce the expansion of its live streaming platform for the 2012 MCLA season; a move which will give partner-teams the chance to not only broadcast their games live but also take advantage of new revenue-sharing opportunities.

“In our first season, we’ve made significant strides in allowing teams to stream live games, providing an invaluable service to the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association,” stated CollegeLAX founder Sonny Pieper. “Moving forward, we feel it’s important to improve on that and provide our users with not only the best possible streaming experience, but a way for teams to grow their own team brand as well as continue to enhance the visibility of the MCLA … That’s our goal.”

Effective immediately, CollegeLAX.us is now accepting applications from teams wishing to stream their games live on the CollegeLAX.tv platform – a service for which there will be no charge.

“This is an MCLA-specific live-streaming application designed to deliver an MCLA-specific experience to fans, alumni and parents,” said CLTV Developer Panchito Ojeda. “Additionally, it will help MCLA teams expand their recruiting efforts.”

Teams can apply to stream their games for free on CollegeLAX.tv by emailing [email protected].

“We believe the MCLA has a quality product and we want to ensure the integrity of that product by providing teams with the resources to be successful,” said Ojeda. “Teams will be given a step by step guide on how to stream and have access to their own CollegeLAX technician to walk them through the streaming process and provide gameday troubleshooting.”

Similar to services such as Ustream, CollegeLAX.tv will not only provide teams with an easy (and free!) way to broadcast their games live on the internet, but also with the experience and technical resources to do it well. And because CollegeLAX is committed to the growth of the MCLA and its member teams, we will also be providing an ad-based revenue sharing program for teams who stream through CollegeLAX.tv, allowing the stream to work as both a recruiting and fundraising tool.

Joining the CollegeLAX.tv team is former University of Montana Grizzly Lacrosse Media Manager Will Moss who brings the expertise of developing streaming broadcasts for the Grizzlies and the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League’s annual Final Four tournament.

“The growth and exposure that both the Griz and the PNCLL experienced as a result of our live-streaming programs was undeniable and invaluable,” said Moss. “Our goal in this latest endeavor is to offer that same opportunity to teams across the MCLA in an affordable and really effective way … We think teams are going to like what we’ve got to offer.”
