Cradle Lacrosse 2012 Fall Schedule

Cradle Lacrosse is excited for another fall season teaching lacrosse to boys and girls ages four to eight at multiple locations in the greater Philadelphia region. New six-week Cradle fall sessions will launch this September at Friends Select School in downtown Philadelphia, Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, and the Shipley School on the “Main Line.” Additional information and registration details are available at CradleLacrosse.com.

Cradle Lacrosse is NXTsports’ educational program for the youngest players, and is designed to teach basic lacrosse skills in a fun, energizing and supportive environment. Over the last twelve months, over 500 kids have participated in Cradle Lacrosse programs.

The program’s recent growth has been overseen by Dylan Brown, Philadelphia Regional Director of Cradle Lacrosse. Brown was a standout three-sport athlete at Episcopal Academy and later served as captain of the men’s lacrosse team at Ohio Wesleyan University where he graduated in 2009. Brown has taken the lead for NXTsports not only in coaching Cradle sessions, but also in training new coaches, developing the Cradle curriculum and launching the program in new venues around the Philadelphia area.

“Of all the different lacrosse programming that NXTsports runs, Cradle is probably the most fun”, said Andy Hayes, President of NXTsports. “Dylan Brown and Marty Kupprion have done an outstanding job of developing the program and teaching the basics of lacrosse to youngsters in an age-appropriate and incredibly fun way, and that is reflected in the feedback we get from our parents.”

Cradle Lacrosse is designed for boys and girls ages 4-8 years old who are new to the game of lacrosse. NXTsports believes in fun, inexpensive, age-appropriate programs for our littlest players. All the lacrosse equipment is provided and the Cradle curriculum focusing on building confidence, as kids learn how to cradle, scoop, catch and throw in a positive, supportive environment.

The Cradle Lacrosse staff features an awesome collection of passionate young coaches, many of whom are actually teachers. All of our coaches have played lacrosse collegiately and have also passed background checks and have their PA Child Abuse clearances. Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
