Denver Lacrosse Throwback Jerseys to be Auctioned

The University of Denver men’s lacrosse’s team’s throwback jerseys, worn during the Pioneers’ game against St. John’s on Saturday, will be auctioned off on DenverPioneers.com. The auction will go live at 4:30 p.m. MT and end on Monday, April 14 at noon. A portion of the proceeds raised will go to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Denver.

The Denver Pioneers have a gear and uniform setup adored around the lacrosse landscape. The throwback uniforms, provided by Warrior, pay homage to what the Pioneers were wearing back in the 1980s. The team was also wearing, for the first time, the new Warrior Burn Pro gloves.

Three complete kits, which include helmet, jersey, shorts and gloves, will be available for auction, with the opening bid starting at $500.

10 individual jerseys will be available with opening bid starting at $200, while 10 individual helmets will open at $300 each. Of the 10 helmets, three will be signed by head coach Bill Tierney, three will be signed by the coaching staff, three will be unsigned and one will be signed by the whole team.
