Five Duke Men’s Lacrosse Contests to be Broadcast by ESPN


DURHAM, N.C.-The Duke University men’s lacrosse team will have five of its regular season games broadcast by the ESPN family of networks, ESPN announced. Four games will be broadcast by ESPNU and the fifth on ESPN3. The Blue Devils make their broadcast debut March 3 at Maryland. The game will be carried live by ESPN3 at 1 p.m. Duke hosts rival North Carolina, Friday, March 16 at 5 p.m., on ESPNU. The final ACC contest at Virginia, April 13 will face off at 6 p.m., on ESPNU.

Non-conference games against Syracuse and Denver both will be televised on ESPNU. Duke and Syracuse will meet in the Konica Minolta Big City Classic for the second consecutive season at MetLife Stadium. The Blue Devils and Orange face off, April 1 at 4 p.m. The Blue Devils close out their regular season at the Mile High Classic against Denver, April 27 at 10 p.m. (ET) at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

For the first time in ACC history all three ACC Tournament games will be televised by ESPNU. In addition to the events announced, other games may be carried by the ACC Digital Network and by the regional cable partners of various ACC institutions. A complete listing of those games will be announced at a later date.

Duke opens the 2012 season, hosting Rutgers, Saturday, Feb. 11 at 12 p.m.
