FOGO Lacrosse, Inc. Announces Upcoming Winter Events For 2015

FOGO Lacrosse, the world’s premier lacrosse specialty skills face-off camp, has three upcoming events as a part of their winter program.  The schedule kicks off on Friday January 23, 2015, when Alex Smith –the most decorated college face-off man in history and 3x World Champion (Rochester Rattlers, Chesapeake Bayhawks, and USA 2010 World Team), will be presenting his thoughts and take on the face-off position at the Baltimore Convention Center at 4:15pm.  The next day, Alex will host the first of two winter face-off camps at the Gerstell Academy in Finksburg, Maryland, to help attendees be whistle-ready for the 2015 season.

The camp schedule as well as links to the brochure and registration forms are below. Camps will provide both in-depth face-off technique instruction as well as heavy face-off competition to help attendees hone and improve their skills ahead of the upcoming season. The instruction will range from the basics to the most advanced face-off techniques currently being used in college and at the professional level. Additionally, attendees will be taught Alex’s signature pinch ‘n’ pop technique that helped him create offensive fast breaks and scoring opportunities throughout his career.  Camps will begin at 9am on Saturday and end at 4pm on Sunday to help allow for airport travel.  For day campers, Saturday will wrap up at 6pm and Sunday will begin at 9am.

Camp dates are as follows:

Winter FOGO I:  January 24 & 25th; Gerstell Academy, Finksburg, Maryland

Winter FOGO II:  February 7 & 8; Gerstell Academy, Finksburg, Maryland

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
