Fresh threads: Brine releases exclusive King hat and shirt

Brine has taken the King logo and released new apparel that is only available at Great Atlantic Lacrosse Company. Brine’s flex fit flat brim hat comes in baby blue and white, both adorned with the King logo. More threads include a Brine King t-shirt that was inspired by a popular shirt worn by Brine staff in 2008.

The hats are a simple and clean design, with a King logo on the front of the hats and a Brine logo on the back. Both are embroidered with gold thread with the logos raised off the hat. The hat is offered in two color ways, white with metallic gold and Carolina blue with athletic gold.

“This was one of those projects that we kicked around for a while and when I brought the idea up to Great Atlantic they jumped right on board,” said Neal Goldman, Brand Manager for Brine Lacrosse. “We chose the white with metallic gold king because the gold jumped right off the hat, which is what we were looking for. We wanted the King to stand out from across the room. The other color way pays a little homage to sweet uni colors of the Denver Nuggets/San Diego Chargers. Carolina blue doesn’t look bad on anything and the athletic gold offers a nice contrast.”

The t-shirts were inspired by shirts that Brine staff wore almost two years ago at the U.S. Lacrosse convention. The result is a black lightweight cotton t-shirt with a metallic gold screen hit on the King head and crowns. The style remains clean but also gives the wearer a little bit of attitude and flash.

“About two years ago we started messing around with t-shirt designs for our staff to wear at the 2008 U.S. Lacrosse convention and this is one we decided to print up,” said Goldman. “The whole idea was to create some looks that showcased the re-emergence of the King logo and also give a little more edge to Brine apparel, which really hadn’t be done before. What started out as a harmless promotional piece quickly turned into a heavily sought after product as we had tons of consumers asking when and where they could buy the shirt. I went down to meet with Great Atlantic this past fall and the idea was brought up again of actually producing the piece and we decided to run with it.”
