When did you start stringing sticks? Have you altered your pocket since you began?

I started stringing my own sticks in high school, and have done so ever since. I’ve changed up the way I string my sticks over the years trying to find something I really like, and when I strung my stick with two U’s a couple of years ago I loved it and stuck with it.

What especially do you like about your pocket?

It has a pretty small pocket, with a lot of hold, and a fair amount of whip.

Head of choice?

The head is an Evo Pro 2.0. Using Proton Power’s all throughout college (Maryland) made the transition to a Warrior head a little difficult, but I think I finally figured it out.

I noticed you have a dyed mesh. Any story behind it?

Usually I play with a dyed head, but I didn’t have time to get this one done before we played Long Island a few weeks ago, which is the reason behind the blue mesh.

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
