Harvard’s Glynn Honored as National Rookie of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman midfielder Julia Glynn of the Harvard women’s lacrosse team has been named the Inside Lacrosse National Rookie of the Week, the publication announced Tuesday.

Glynn, a native of Manhasset, N.Y., helped Harvard defeat Dartmouth, 9-8, and Brown, 9-7, last week.Glynn led Harvard with a total of eight points in those games, as the Crimson improved to 3-1 in the Ivy League.

In the 9-8 at Dartmouth April 1, Glynn assisted on two goals and added a goal, while also leading the way with five ground balls and three caused turnovers. Glynn tallied three goals and added two assists for a five-point effort in the 9-7 win at Brown April 4. Glynn gave Harvard an 8-6 lead with 6:49 left.

Harvard will visit No. 4 Boston College Tuesday, April 7. Opening draw is slated for 4 p.m.
