Help Cornell Men’s Lacrosse As They Press For Sandy Relief

ITHACA, N.Y. – In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the Big Red men’s lacrosse team is asking the Cornell and Ithaca communities to come together and help raise money for the American Red Cross. All 43 members of the Cornell squad will spend this week seeking donations for the Pressing For Sandy Relief initiative.

At the team’s morning workout on Friday, Nov. 16, each member of the squad will be tested in the 135-pound bench press. The object will be to complete as many repetitions at one time as possible and donors are asked to pledge a dollar amount for each repetition completed.

If you would like to make a donation or sponsor a member of the team, contact assistant coach Paul Richards at [email protected], or call (607) 255-0040.

You can help people affected by disasters like Hurricane Sandy, as well as countless crises at home and around the world, by making a donation to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
