Down 5-3 in the final minutes of the league semi’s, Hempfield gets within 1. Play involves #10 Matt S. and #13 Nick V. of Hempfield High School. Matt S. splits two defenders and pushes pass two more before flicking an underhand pass to Nick V. on the crease. Nick V., facing pressure, can only shoot it behind his back. Ephrata (team in Purple) ended up upsetting Hempfield with a 6-5 win. View the terrific play below.
