HEX PERFORMANCE AND THE ART OF LAX JOIN GROWING LIST OF GUARDIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS SPONSORS

NEW YORK — June 30, 2015 – Guardian Sports is proud to announce that HEX Performance, athletic apparel and gear detergents, and The Art of Lax have joined Guardian Sports growing list of sponsors for the 2nd Annual Guardian National Championships. Participants at the groundbreaking goalie combine and recrutiting event on July 27-30 will be going home with HEX Dual Action Gear Wash and Power+ Laundry Detergent in addition to a limited edition custom charcoal print from The Art of Lax.

“I am excited to see great opportunities for lacrosse players to better their game through unique concepts like Guardian Sports,” said Drew Westervelt, founder and COO of HEX Performance Products. “HEX is extremely excited to get our products into the hands of participants and have them spread the word about our athlete centric product offerings.”

“As a goalie myself, I feel very honored and excited to partner up, and artistically contribute to a group that focuses on the art of goaltending,” said Vincent Ricasio the artists at The Art of Lax.

The Guardian National Championship is the largest lacrosse goalie specific showcase that brings together elite high school goalies from across the country and gives them the stage to showcase their talents in front of numerous Division I, II and III college coaches. The goalies are evaluated in 16 goalie-specific tests in four key component areas; REACTIONARY, OFFENSIVE, ATHLETIC and VIRTUAL.

“We are very proud to partner with two companies who share our passion for lacrosse,” remarked Ginny Capicchioni, Guardian Sports, Founder/CEO. “Both companies have gone above and beyond to make our event memorable for both the goalies and their parents.”

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
