Hollywood Lacrosse Announces Fall and Winter Tryouts

Hollywood, CA – Fall is right around the corner and Hollywood Men’s Lacrosse club is announcing tryouts for its fall and winter teams. Hollywood conducts tryouts for individuals with a competitive lacrosse playing background (D1, D2, D3, MCLA) or a high degree of athleticism during its collegiate club scrimmages in the fall and spring pre-season.

Hollywood plays a year round schedule against post collegiate teams in the Southern California Post Collegiate Men’s Lacrosse Association such as Adrenaline, San Diego Lacrosse Club, Beverly Hills, Quiksilver, 40 Thieves, and South Bay. We also compete against collegiate clubs such as USC, UCLA, and LMU in the fall season and spring pre-season.

Hollywood Lacrosse is sponsored by Pro Athletics, maker of high quality custom uniforms and apparel. Hollywood is also sponsored by Silverfin Lacrosse, a lacrosse training company based in Newbury Park, CA. We work together with our sponsors to ensure we look great and represent our brands well. We have a large contingent of Air Force and Naval Academy players due to the proximity to Pt. Mugu Naval Base and Los Angeles Air Force Base.

Many players are taken without a tryout based on their playing resume, but others can make the team by coming and playing with the team in one of our off season scrimmages. All interested players with good athleticism and a high lacrosse IQ are encouraged to inquire regardless of your lacrosse playing background. All games are played in the Los Angeles region as far north as Encino and as far south as Newport Beach and San Diego.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
