Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Inks Partnership Deal with Corrigan Sports Enterprises

Baltimore, MD (November 7, 2013) ─ Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) and the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) announced today a long-term partnership agreement for CSE to manage multiple new high school boys lacrosse tournaments featuring club and high school teams beginning in the summer of 2014.

“We are truly excited about this new association with CSE,” said Phil Buttafuoco, Executive Director of the IMLCA. “With its knowledge of the sport, tournament expertise and high standards that match our own, CSE and the IMLCA will create nationally-recognized preeminent lacrosse events. You can be sure that if you see the IMLCA’s logo on an event, that it has the approval of every college lacrosse coach in the country,”

The first two tournaments under the terms of the partnership are slated for 2014; June in the Mid-Atlantic area and a weekend in November in the South Region. In 2015, the series will expand nationally to include four annual tournaments, one each in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, South and West.

Each new IMLCA tournament will include a charitable component. The IMLCA and CSE are proud to announce that the beneficiary of the series’ first tournament will be the Wounded Warrior Project, based in Jacksonville,Florida.

The IMLCA was created to help build the game of lacrosse, become the premier organization providing coaches development and monitor the integrity of the game. Its membership is comprised of individual collegiate coaches. In addition, the IMLCA has created relationships with the high school boy’s lacrosse coaches and the collegiate club lacrosse coaches to benefit from the initiatives of the IMLCA.

CSE is a major force in the lacrosse world as the creators and operators of the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic, one of the sport’s premiere events. The Baltimore area sports marketing and event management firm is also the exclusive event partner of the IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association) and hosts their four annual girls club lacrosse recruiting tournaments.

Lee Corrigan, president of CSE, said, “We are thrilled to be partnering with the IMLCA. When players participate in a future IMLCA tournament they will be assured of two things. First, the sidelines will be packed with college coaches from all levels looking for their next great player. Second, each tournament will be executed in a first-class manner that will take into the consideration the needs of college coaches, club and high schools coaches, the players and even the needs of the parents.”
