The Baltimore region has always been known for lacrosse. Its famed conference, the MIAA, has been a mainstay forever practically. But, across the state and into the District and over the Potomac into Alexandria lies the IAC.
The Interstate Athletic Conference is home to Landon, Georgetown Prep, St. Albans, St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes, Episcopal, and Bullis. This past week, the MIAA got a taste of defeat from three of the six IAC programs. Two weeks ago, Bullis beat Severn.
St. Mary’s lost to Landon 11-10 in overtime on a goal by junior defenseman Luke Howard. Cory Dobyns from Prep dropped five on Gilman to win 10-8. St. Stephen’s David Solomon finished with four goals and two assists as they upset Boys’ Latin 11-7.
