Atlanta, GA – LB3 Events is pleased to announce that in conjunction with the Major League Lacrosse Championship Game it will be hosting the Casey Powell Championship Shootout. The Casey Powell Championship Shootout will be held on August 8th and 9th which will compliment the Major League Lacrosse Championship Game being held on August 8th. The Casey Powell Championship Shootout will be held at the Kennesaw State University Sports and Recreation Park.
The Casey Powell Championship Shootout will be a 7v7 Jamboree style event, with all teams in attendance getting 6 games over two days. We will have teams at the U9, U11, U13, U15, High School B and High School A levels. All participants in the event will receive a ticket to the Major League Lacrosse Championship and will have access to the pro player appearances at the tournament location.
When asked about the Major League Lacrosse game returning to Atlanta, Liam Banks the CEO of LB3 Lacrosse said, “So excited to have the MLL Championship weekend back in Atlanta. The Atlanta lacrosse community showed up in huge numbers last year to watch the best players in the world compete for the MLL Championship. Our goal this year is to sell out Fifth Third Bank Stadium and show that Atlanta has the best fans around.”

Having a tournament around the Championship Game last year really helped to enhance the event and we look forward to seeing it grow further. LB3 Lacrosse has been involved with the MLL every step of the way in our events in the Greater Atlanta area and they have really done a great job in helping to grow the MLL brand in the region,” said David Gross, Commissioner of Major League Lacrosse, when asked about the MLL Championship Game and 7v7 Festival returning to Atlanta in 2015.
LB3 Lacrosse is also looking forward to hosting the Casey Powell Championship Shootout in conjunction with the Championship Game. “I have played every season since the start of the MLL. Championship Weekend is a celebration of lacrosse. I know the CP Championship Shootout is going to be a fast paced and fun event. I am looking forward to meeting so many of the fans throughout the weekend. Hopefully the Florida Launch will be playing on the last weekend of the season and will be leaving with a Championship,” said reigning MLL Coca-Cola MVP Casey Powell.
Major League Lacrosse and LB3 Lacrosse have partnered on several events in the past. Liam Banks said, “The MLL has been a great partner and we are excited to be managing tournaments for both the MLL All-Star Game and Championship Game.”
