Lynchburg Scrimmages UVA in Men’s Lacrosse

Lynchburg College hosted the University of Virginia Thursday night in a men’s lacrosse scrimmage on the College’s Shellenberger Field in front of an estimated crowd of 2,134.

The hard-fought game was very even with the Cavaliers finishing ahead 9-5. The Hornets led 5-4 in the early fourth quarter, but Virginia scored the last five tallies. Ryan Tucker had three scores for the visitors, while Joe Jay Goldsmith had a goal and an assist. Adam Davey allowed just four goals in 45 minutes of play, making 12 saves.
