Maryland Lacrosse Showcase Adds Club Teams for 2013

The Maryland Lacrosse Showcase, LLC is proud to announce the addition of Team X Lacrosse to it’s ever growing lacrosse company. This addition will kick off Maryland Lacrosse Showcase’s venture into high level club teams, and the company will field teams for the first time in May 2013. Brad Barber, President and Founder of the Maryland Lacrosse Showcase LLC, had this to say about the addition of club teams:

I am very excited to welcome Team X Lacrosse to the organization. After evaluating the many club programs in the area I felt their organization was without a doubt the closest to what we were looking for. Both organizations have the same vision and goals for its athletes. We will focus on player development to further prepare them for the collegiate level and will provide our athletes with optimal exposure to colleges by putting together a team that will be recognized as the premier club team in Maryland.

*How to get invited to try-out the Maryland Lacrosse Showcase Club Teams*

1. You may be invited to attend tryouts by one of our current staff members

2. You may be invited to try-out with a recommendation email from your high school coach

Here is the initial statement from Jeremy Mattoon, Head Coach at Hood College and Founder of Team X Lacrosse: “Maryland Lacrosse Showcase, LLC. is a top notch organization. I had the opportunity to attend their summer 2012 showcase and it was, by far, the best run tournament that I have ever attended as a college coach. That vision is the same for the Maryland Lacrosse Showcase club teams and I know that together we will create one of the finest lacrosse organizations in the country.”

Mattoon went on to say:

This merger is a perfect mix, because Team X Lacrosse has already had tremendous success for such a young organization. Our 2012 Premiere Team had a cumulative record of 19-3-3 in 7 tournaments and our players are getting recruited to play in college. In our first two seasons, we have sent over 20 players to Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 programs. Our 2013/2014 graduates are being recruited by schools such as High Point University, St. Joseph’s University, VMI, Stevenson University, Salisbury University, and Roanoke College, just to name a few. Honestly, there is no limit to where we can go from here.
