Maverik Signs Haverford College

Long Island City, NY, November 16, 2010 — Maverik Lacrosse is proud to announce that it has signed an agreement to supply the Haverford College men’s lacrosse team with custom branded equipment in their bid for the 2011 NCAA D-III championship. In 2011, Maverik will be supplying the Black Squirrels with custom Red and White Maybach gloves, DNA apparel, team branded Monster travel bags and Maverik’s new RIZE head.

“We are excited about working with Maverik and their player representatives,”said Haverford College head coach Collin Bathory. “Maverik’s equipment is designed by some of the games top players. We feel it will give our players a distinct advantage when they step on the field and ultimately give our program a chance to excel.”

Coach Bathory’s first season as the head coach of the Black Squirrels saw the team post a 12-6 record, capture the Centennial Conference tournament championship and secure a national quarterfinal appearance at the NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Championship. Also of note in 2010, seven of Coach Bathory’s players were selected Centennial All-Conference, the most first and second team honorees in the history of Haverford’s program.

“Maverik is very excited about getting involved with the Black Squirrels,” said John Gagliardi President and founder of Maverik Lacrosse. “We are anxious to see Haverford continue to pursue a national championship after a strong inaugural season under coach Bathory in 2010.”
