Maverik Unveils Paul Rabil Designed Head & Shaft, “THE BULL”

Long Island City, NY, March 4, 2010 – Maverik Lacrosse today unveiled “THE BULL” head and shaft designed by Team USA and Boston Cannon’s All-Star midfielder and Maverik “Soldier” Paul Rabil. Rabil will be promoting his new head and shaft as well as signing autographs at the Maverik Lacrosse tent on Saturday, March 6th at the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium.

“The Bull is a product designed for a player of my mentality,” said Paul Rabil. “Someone who wants to go out onto the field, pick up ground balls, dodge through defenders, check the ball away from o-guys, and put the ball in the back of the net. It’s sidewall and flex dynamics allow for me to get out there and accomplish this.”

Maverik gave Rabil a clean slate and asked him to create what he feels is the ultimate lacrosse head and shaft. During the summer of ’09 Maverik built Paul “THE BULL” Rabil several prototypes to field test, tweak and ultimately put his final stamp of approval on. Paul’s design is based on Maverik’s advanced MO-CONTROL geometry and is infused with several of his own personal touches. First off, “THE BULL” has a slightly rounded scoop for pin-point accuracy and ripping 111 mph shots. Second, he worked with Maverik’s engineers to position the sidewall holes at the ideal location for creating consistently accurate pocket shapes and unlimited stringing options. Last but not least, Maverik incorporated a pair of bull horns into the sidewall of the head that are both functional (flexible for face-offs) and brand the head and shaft as a Rabil designed product. When “THE BULL” head and shafts hit stores and online outlets this March it will be one of the lightest and well-balanced high performance lacrosse heads to ever hit the market.

“Ever since Paul came on-board it has been our goal to have him create a head and shaft that would meet and exceed his demands,” said John Gagliardi, founder and President of Maverik Lacrosse LLC. “Paul is a very detail oriented individual and the head and shaft we have created together embodies Maverik’s motto, ‘products designed by players for players.’ We will never sell a product that we would not use ourselves.”
