MELBOURNE, Fla. – Mike Morris (Jr., Oakville, Ontario) of the University of Tampa is the Sunshine State Conference Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this year.
Jake Hogan (Fr., Westwood, Mass.) of Rollins College was named the SSC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the first time.
Morris and Hogan were selected SSC Athletes of the Week from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of March 23-29.
Morris wins his second award of the 2015 season after helping Tampa go 2-0 last week, including one win against conference opponent Saint Leo. In the Spartans first game against Adams State, Morris scored one goal on seven shots and added two assists as Tampa went on to win, 15-3. Against Saint Leo, Morris scored four goals on eight shots, the last of which was the game winner in the 10-9 victory.
