BOSTON (Feb. 19, 2014)— Major League Lacrosse, the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced today the ESPN3 schedule for the 2014 season. ESPN3 will deliver 20 regular season games this year.
“ESPN has been a strong collaborator of ours for the last decade,” said MLL Commissioner David Gross. “We are thrilled to continue this relationship and provide some of the best league matchups on ESPN3 so fans can enjoy MLL across platforms.”
The first Game to be shown on ESPN’s live multi-screen sports network will be Saturday, April 26, when theCharlotte Hounds host the Ohio Machine at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.
The network will feature several high profile contests this season, including Denver’s trip to Charlotte as the Outlawsbattle the Hounds in a rematch of one of the biggest upsets in MLL history, the 2013 semifinal that saw the Outlaws perfect season come to an end.
ESPN3 will conclude with the final weekend of regular season play, when the Outlaws travel to New York to take on the Lizards.
A host of local commentators will provide play-by-play and color commentary duties throughout the season.
