WinnersView now streaming Major League Lacrosse “Game of the Week” live on Roku players and Roku TV

BOSTON (April 23, 2015) – Major League Lacrosse, the premier professional lacrosse league, today announced that sports content provider WinnersView is now live streaming the “MLL Game of the Week” via the WinnersView streaming channel for Roku players and Roku TV models. The WinnersView streaming channel provides Roku customers with free access to sports and entertainment content. In addition, customers in the D.C., Dallas, and Minneapolis areas can access content specific to their regions as part of the WinnersView pilot, powered by ViewLift.

“We’ve seen the tremendous growth of connected TV devices and are excited to provide our passionate lacrosse fans around the world with access to our ‘MLL Game of the Week,’ while giving them the best possible viewing experience,” said Kevin Murphy, Marketing and Brand Manager at Major League Lacrosse. “Roku is a leader in the streaming market with millions of highly engaged customers around the world, and launching on the Roku platform gives us a great opportunity to grow our game and reach more fans.”

Week 3, is a week of rematches in the MLL. The Chesapeake Bayhawks travel for the away leg of a “home and home” series with the Florida Launch. While in the “MLL Game of the Week”, the Rochester Rattlers visit Long Island to avenge their Week 2 loss to the NY Lizards. Finally, the Charlotte Hounds and Boston Cannons, both fresh off Week 2 byes, collide in a battle for early season supremacy.
