NJ Home Field Advantage Donates Indoor Field Time to Harlem Lacrosse & Leadership Girls’ Lacrosse Program

Ramsey, NJ, March 6, 2014 – When the snowy conditions in the New York area last week threatened to cancel the Harlem Lacrosse & Leadership (HLL) girls lacrosse programs clinic with players from the Immaculate Heart Academy (IHA), NJ Home Field Advantage in Ramesy, NJ, opened its doors and donated the hard to come by indoor turf time.

The HLL is a youth organization that uses lacrosse training and academic intervention to instill leadership skills and social responsibility in students in grades 6 through 8 at public schools in Harlem, NY. The IHA players worked with the HLL girls on their stick, throwing and ball handling skills while also sharing the life lessons lacrosse teaches. Epoch Lacrosse even donated two of their women’s carbon composite shafts for the winners of the skills competition.

To learn more about HLL please visit their website at http://www.harlemlacrosse.org/ and NJ Home Field Advantage’s site http://www.njhomefieldadvantage.com .

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
