PrimeTime Lacrosse Names Will Manny Director of Program Development and Recruiting Advisor

Boston MA – 8/12/2013 – PrimeTime Lacrosse announced today that current Boston Cannons Attackman Will Manny has been named Director of Program Development/Recruiting Advisor and will serve as a coach of the 2019 Penguins Select Team this Fall.

Manny will be responsible for assisting in the development of camp, clinic, and select team programing, in addition to his responsibilities assisting in college recruiting for the High School Penguins Select Teams. Manny will also assist the PrimeTime team in many initiatives aimed at growing participation in the sport of Lacrosse in Massachusetts.

“We are thrilled to welcome Will to the PrimeTime Family,” said PrimeTime Lacrosse Co-Founder Tyler Low, “after working with Will at our camps this Summer it is clear that he is a very special lacrosse coach – from the way he interacts with the players to the genuine care he takes in ensuring each player is recognizing his potential and enjoying their experience with the game of lacrosse, we are confident he is a great addition to our team.”

Manny joins PrimeTime Lacrosse after a strong rookie campaign at Attack for the Boston Cannons (MLL), where the fan favorite made an immediate impact in Major League Lacrosse following a career with UMass-Amherst that saw Manny named a first team USILA All-American in 2012, in addition to numerous CAA accolades including 2012 Player of the Year. Manny left UMass-Amherst with the fifth most points in the program’s storied history with 201 career points. Prior to UMass, Manny spent four years at St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, NY.

“I am ecstatic to be joining the PrimeTime Family. After spending time coaching at PrimeTime camps this summer, it is clear they share the same passion for the game of lacrosse and player development that I do.” said Manny, “Also having the chance to work with a number of Penguins players at camp this summer, it is clear that they have some very, very talented players in the program and I am excited to help those players get seen by coaches at the next level and help prepare them to make the jump to college lacrosse.”

Manny’s duties with PrimeTime Lacrosse will begin with tryouts for the 2013-2014 Penguins Select teams on September 7th and 8th.

“We are very excited to bring Will on board this Fall. We know the participants in our camps and clinics and well as players on our Penguins Select teams will see an immediate benefit both from Will’s incredible knowledge of the game of lacrosse, but more importantly the passion he brings as a role model for our student athletes and a true ambassador for the game. Additionally, the connections Manny has at the NCAA level are invaluable in helping our players achieve success at the next level” said PrimeTime Lacrosse co-founder Jason Wellemeyer.
