Video: St. Lawrence University Lacrosse Trucking Over Lymphoma

The St. Lawrence University men’s lacrosse team successfully “trucked over lymphoma” on Saturday evening, as the Saints pulled a 72,000 pound tractor trailer through campus to raise money and awareness about lymphoma.

The Saints got off to a great start, as they got the massive truck moving at a quick pace on Millennium Way across from the Brewer Bookstore.

The team pulled the truck past the Sullivan Student Center and down the High Road in front of Dean-Eaton Hall. The team never gave an inch, pulling the truck past Gunnison Memorial Chapel in front of the quad to victory in front of an excited crowd of supporters.

“This was truly a great cause that our team rallied around, and I’m so proud of their efforts to make this happen,” said St. Lawrence head coach Mike Mahoney, who helped his team pull the 72,000 pound truck. “We’d like to thank everyone who helped make the event possible, and to the Lymphoma Research Foundation for their continuing work to fight this disease.”

All proceeds from Saturday’s event are being donated to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, as every four minutes, one person is diagnosed with a form of blood cancer.
