Streaker Sports Completes Acquisition of Jack’s Heritage

Two Heritage Sportswear Brands Merge Fusing Fandom With Fashion in Spring 2015 Relaunch

Streaker Sports, the 5-year-old NYC-based company famous for high-quality “throwback” athletic shorts and inventive collaborations, announced Monday the acquisition of Jack’s Heritage. Jack’s Heritage founders Pete Lucchesi and Cory Fahey will join the Streaker Sports team in creative and operational roles. Streaker Sports is now set to relaunch with a premium 2015 spring collection.
The deal offered Streaker Sports a compelling target acquisition due to complementary expertise in product design and development, marketing and brand activation. Based out of upstate New York, the Jack’s Heritage brand became known for their collection of American-Made sportswear and accessories. Above all, Streaker Sports saw in Jack’s Heritage an integral knack for capturing the fans appetite for sports nostalgia in their carefully crafted and deliberate line of goods.
“Over the last year, we were very impressed the brand Jack’s Heritage had built and are thrilled to be combining forces,” said Streaker Sports President, Grant Hewit. “With Pete and Cory joining the team, we’ll have even more creative firepower to build on the existing reputation of Streaker Sports as an authentic designer and producer of the highest quality apparel and accessories sports fans can find.”
The two brands first collaborated on the limited edition Victory Shorts as part of the summer 2014 collection (the shorts promptly sold out). Both Streaker Sports and Jack’s Heritage founders share a passion for the fan experience and a vision for a premium sportswear brand. The current tagline, “BE A PART OF THE GAME,” speaks to the enthusiasm of sports fans and is an invitation to join their community of “Streakers”.
The spring collection will bring three new product families to market under the rebranded label: Streaker Sports Originals, a line of heritage inspired sportswear including the signature shorts fans have come to expect. The Cage, a collection of Streaker branded and collaborative accessories. And The Vintage Vault, authentic vintage products curated by members of the Streaker Sports team.
The newly expanded team looks forward to bringing their vision to life as the go-to lifestyle brand rooted in sports heritage and culture. “The Spring re-launch of Streaker Sports can’t come fast enough for us, or our fans and customers,” reiterated Hewit.
