Frigid Andy Kerr Stadium felt like sunny and 75 for the Raiders during a sizzling stretch of the second quarter. Colgate scored four times in a 4-minute, 26-second stretch that turned a 2-1 deficit into a 5-2 lead at intermission. Read More...

The weekend we had preparing for all season was upon us, The Patriot League Tournament. As Coach Murphy said throughout the week, it’s a new season, everyone was starting 0-0. Despite what we would consider a sub par Patriot League regular season at 3-3, we had a chance to redeem ourselves over the weekend. There could be no better way to start our championship run than against our rivals the Lehigh Mountainhawks. Read More...
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh sophomore goalie Matt Poillon has been named Patriot League Goalie of the Year for a second straight season, while six others joined him as All-League honorees, as announced on Tuesday. The victory over Lafayette punched our ticket into the Patriot League Tournament, but the regular season was far from over with a rivalry matchup against Bucknell coming up on Saturday. Not only were we playing one of our old foes, but also we were celebrating Senior Day in what was our last home game this season at Andy Kerr Stadium. After spoiling Lafayette’s senior day last week, we didn’t want the same happening to our senior class on Saturday. Read More...

The loss to our rivals was a tough one, but the close decision gave us the confidence that we could beat anyone in our league. Next up would be a Saturday matchup with the Lafayette Leopards. A win would secure a birth into The Patriot League tournament, allowing us to compete for our season’s goal of winning a Patriot League Championship. Saturday’s matchup would give our team an opportunity to get back in the win column, and build momentum towards our important end of season games. Read More...
After the loss to Army we were forced to regroup and recover for our upcoming game against the team from Bethlehem. Not much needed to be said to get us going for this one, as we were playing the team that took the Patriot League Championship away from us last year. That ring hanging above the entrance to our locker room all spring, that flag they stomped on our field, that was all we needed to motivate us throughout the week and on game day. Read More...
I would be doing a disservice to my readers to note mention the charity auction that a few of our seniors were lucky enough to participate in on Friday night. Seniors Jimmy Queeney, Bill Manning, and Connor Brown took part in The Brothers Society charity auction, where lovely Colgate females had the opportunity to bid for a date with three of our finest seniors. They ended up going in as a unit, which was a good idea since each guy gives something you are looking for in a man. Read More...
After the win over Michigan at Citi Field in front of many of our friends, family, and alumni, we were forced turn our attention to a Saturday showdown against The Naval Academy at M&T Bank Stadium as part of the Konica Minolta Faceoff Classic. Aside from the fact that Navy is a Patriot League opponent, which puts great importance on the game, the Midshipmen handed us our only regular season Patriot League loss last season, and pay back was in order. After getting back in the win column against Holy Cross on Saturday, Sunday marked the beginning of our spring break from classes. The week gave us the opportunity to focus solely on lacrosse and get closer as a team. Also can’t forget the week gave us the opportunity to soak in the rays, as traditionally we have received good weather with the campus all to ourselves over spring break. Most importantly we had two games to focus on over the break, one at home against Binghamton and a highly anticipated affair with the Michigan Wolverines at Citi Field. Read More...
