AMHERST, Mass. – Alex White scored a career-high three goals, and Kevin Vaughan recorded three assists, but the Harvard men’s lacrosse team fell on the road at No. 2/3 Massachusetts by a score of 16-8 Tuesday evening. Will Walker added two goals and an assist for the Crimson, which sees its overall record slip to 4-4. White also won 6-of-11 faceoffs and collected five ground balls, while Keegan Michel went 6-of-14 in faceoff chances. WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior captain James Kennedy (Summit, N.J.) led the Crusaders with two goals and an assist for three points as the Holy Cross men's lacrosse team was defeated by No. 15 Harvard, 14-9, on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action in the Crusaders' home-opener at Holy Cross Field. The Ivy League has a deep lacrosse tradition. The league captured the first USILA championship in 1881, the first NCAA Championship in 1971 and remains one of the premiere leagues today even with the absence of athletic scholarships. As far as jerseys, there is an emphasis on the classic. Not surprisingly, some schools have remained very conservative in their attire, while others have broken the mold.
ESPN has been keeping up with Myron Rolle for quite a bit. You know who he is right? Former All-Everything at Florida State and current Rhodes Scholar. He gave up his Senior year at FSU to study abroad and mingle with other members of academia from around the globe.
