Gonzaga College High School Wants you to ‘Be Brave and Shave’

Gonzaga College High School will host a Be Brave and Shave event on Thursday, May 17. Be Brave and Shave is a community-driven and supported head shaving event that benefits the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Since the first head shave in 2009, Be Brave and Shave has “razed” more than $1 million for the Cancer Programs at Children’s National Medical Center. Read More...

Now that the Spring 2012 Lacrosse is in full swing, I can't help but start to think about the upcomming Summer Club Lacrosse season. A lot of planning has been done by Clubs, Future's programs and even the town and HS programs in regards to tryouts, roster size, uniforms, schedules, hotel reservation, fan wear including custom gloves, helmets among other things to not only promote the future of their Club, but try and give their Members a good, positive experience in the hopes that they will come back not only next Summer, but this Fall and Winter. St. Mark’s Wins Southwest Prep Conference in Texas

Despite entering the Southwest Prep Conference playoffs this weekend as the #1 seed from the SPC North Division, the defending champion St. Mark’s Lions were handed every excuse they could need to rationalize a possible loss this weekend. In the last seven days, they had learned that three more key starters were lost for the season, and senior middie and face-off specialist Nick Mahowald had been ruled ineligible due to a concussion sustained against Allen on Monday night. Rivalry Games Assists The Goal, Scoring $40,000 for HEADstrong Foundation

Holmes, PA- The forecast this weekend was very fitting for the HEADstrong Foundation’s 3rd Annual Rivalry Games. On Saturday April 7, 2012 droves of HEADstrong supporters and lacrosse fans descended on Widener University’s athletic complex to be apart of what has become an annual Easter Saturday tradition in Delaware County. This year’s Rivalry Games drew record attendance generating over $40,000 for the HEADstrong Foundation and their relentless pursuit of defeating blood cancer, bringing the fundraising total to over $190,000 since its inception in 2010.
