The new sports programs are being funded by a gift from an anonymous alumnus who pledged $5 million to the university in October 2011, the single largest outright commitment by an individual in Furman's history. The club team from the Univeristy of South Carolina has new decals to be proud of. Made by Lacrosse Unlimited, these decals embody the school's colors, Garnet and Black, and their mascot the Gamecock. Complimenting the school colors is a Grey/White checker pattern.
