Here are some photos of ESPNU's feature shoot with Warrior at Disney. Matt Striebel, Geoff Snider, Nicky Polanco, Matt Danowski, Jesse Schwartzman, and Quint Kessenich are featured in the shoot. They got together to prepare for ESPNU's promotion of their added lacrosse games to their schedule this Spring. More after the jump.
Each week Lacrosse Playground will be featuring a different lacrosse athlete as part of our “Grip ‘N Rip” series, where we’ll find out what the best use to fine tune their game. As the 1995 Baltimore player-of-the-year and a three-time All-American and National Champion at Princeton, Lorne Smith knows lacrosse. Smith's post-collegiate career includes playing professionally and on the club circuit, as well as coaching. Smith now runs several West coast lacrosse camps and works as a sales rep for Warrior.

BALTIMORE — US Lacrosse has selected Warrior Lacrosse as the official equipment and apparel supplier to the U.S. men's national teams program. This is a six-year agreement between the two organizations to work together on a number of initiatives to promote Team USA and the sport of lacrosse. The Warrior sponsorship covers both the 2010 and 2014 U.S. men’s senior teams as well as the 2012 U.S. men’s under-19 team.
Gloves have evolved a great deal over the history of lacrosse. Lacrosse gloves are designed to protect players' hands from checks, as checking the hands and stick are a big part of defense. Gloves aren’t just another requirement in padding, but they are a necessary tool in order to be able to carry, pass, shoot and control the ball. Gloves are vital!
Slated to play the beefy laxer in the highly anticipated motion picture, Warrior, next spring there is a little something you should know about Kellan Lutz. Before Kellan Lutz made it big time playing Emmett Cullen in the 2008 film Twilight he was an Abercrombie & Fitch model. Not only was he an Abercrombie & Fitch model, but he was a lacrosse player in an A&F TV promotional video. Kellan Lutz apparently grew up playing lacrosse in the Midwest. LPG isn't sure what to think of the video, but we'll leave that up to you after the jump...
Having grown up in Baltimore, Maryland Tommy Johnson is using his childhood influences and experiences from playing lacrosse at Calvert Hall and Loyola College to create masterpieces. Tommy Johnson may have been a defensive specialist known for delivering bone crushing hits on the field, but ironically it’s his subdued side that enthralls his life these days in Pacific Palisades, California. Not only is Tommy a remarkable painter, but he is also creatively involved with an upcoming movie, Warrior. Warrior is a movie that revolves around lacrosse which is set to release in the spring of 2010 featuring Twilight star Kellan Lutz.
