Team Nooka Signs All World Lacrosse Player Paul Rabil

It was evident ever since Paul tweeted pics of his visits to Nooka in NYC. Big step forward for lacrosse.

Fashion brand Nooka Inc. is thrilled to announce the creation of Team Nooka, their first sponsored team of athletes and entertainers. Each member will be selected based on their profiles in their respective genre, as well as how they represent Nooka’s MindStyleTM philosophy. Beginning in 2011, Nooka will release a collection of special edition products co-designed by each athlete and entertainer.

Nooka is proud to welcome their newest team member, professional lacrosse player, Paul Rabil. Throughout his career, Paul has won more than his share of awards, starting at Johns Hopkins where he and his team won the NCAA championships in 2005 and 2007. In 2008, Paul scored six goals and recorded one assist for his team in a major game against Syracuse. Two days later, he was selected 1st overall by the Boston Cannons in the Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft. In the next year he was voted Major League Lacrosse’s first midfielder Most Valuable Player as well as Offensive Player of the Year. In 2010 he joined the Washington Stealth and together they won the NLL’s Champions Cup. Recently, Paul was named Most Valuable Player of the FIL World Championships and won the gold medal.

The creation of Team Nooka follows the success of partnering with the Van’s Warped Tour 2010. Nooka also sponsored the Summer X Games in Los Angeles. With Team Nooka, Nooka hopes to create a foundation on which to support the sports and lifestyles of the majority of Nooka’s fans and customers. As Nooka continues to grow, new athletes and entertainers will be signed to the team.

Nooka is a New York fashion design company founded by artist/ designer Matthew Waldman. The ethos of Nooka is universal language, which guides the creation of products with enhanced functionality and a futuristic philosophy.
