DENVER – University of Denver men’s lacrosse head coach Bill Tierney will debut his first-ever radio show on 102.3 ESPN Radio, beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 6-6:30 p.m. The show will air on select Wednesday nights throughout the lacrosse season.
The Bill Tierney Radio Show will be hosted by 102.3 ESPN’s Nate Kreckman and Charles “CJ” Johnson. The audiocast for each show will be available on DenverPioneers.com and ESPNDenver.com.
“In addition to almost all of our home games being broadcast on 102.3 ESPN, I’m thrilled that the Denver Pioneers men’s lacrosse program will have a presence on the airwaves leading up to those games,” Tierney said. “Our media exposure is most important to us as our fan base grows. Our 2013 season will be the most challenging one we have faced thus far, and we are looking forward to having the chance to share that with the Denver lacrosse community.”
The Bill Tierney Radio Show is the second Denver Athletics radio show on ESPN Radio, joining the George Gwozdecky Radio Show that airs every Tuesday.
The 2013 DU men’s lacrosse schedule kicks off against Duke in Durham, N.C., on Saturday, Feb. 9. Opening face-off is slated for 10 a.m. MT.

Season tickets for the 2013 season are currently on sale and can be purchased online at www.DenverPioneers.com/tickets. Single-game tickets will go on-sale on Jan. 25 via the Denver Pioneers’ website.
However, fans interested in purchasing single-game tickets early can do so by visiting the Denver Pioneers’ Facebook page beginning on Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. Single-game tickets will be available for purchase under the “Exclusives” tab after “Liking” the Facebook page. Once there, fans should enter the code FACEBOOK to access the exclusive presale.
