Anyone looking at Under Armour’s 2016 line up will be incredibly impressed. The Command is probably their best head to date with the Charge 2. Super Stiff and good stringing options the Command holds its own with the big hitters. My opinion is it is more of a LSM or Close D head but fans of the Centrik would love this for short stick too.
Shape 8.5 out of 10
The shape of the head is really nice and lets itself to a mid to mid high pocket over a low pocket for sure making it great for you long poles out there. The width of the head is pretty aggressive for a universal model and will allow strong transition play.
Stiffness 9.8 out of 10
This head is crazy stiff. Like you will leave a mark with every poke check stiff. Ground balls are super easy in every weather condition as the head doesn’t give at all through the scoop or during hard checks.
Stringing 8.5 out of 10
Still a mid to mid high pocket design like I said but lots of options. It wasn’t too hard to come up with a good pocket design for this head. The top string lines up well but the design doesn’t allow low pockets too well.
Durability 9.5 out of 10
The super stiffness of the Command definitely could lead to some breaking in cold weather but in the heat of Florida it has held up well. We had this head on a Dragonfly C60 and threw massive checks with it and so far it has not shown any signs of cracking or softening up.
Overall 9 out of 10
The Command is a real contender for the LSM and Close D number 1 head. I pretty much rolled with it as a long pole head the entire time I was testing and for sure it worked out great. My teammates who play pole full time are already waiting on these to release on 2/1/2016.
