Updated: Baltimore Soccer Team’s Season Cancelled After Doing the Bernie (Video)

We originally posted about a Baltimore area soccer team having its season cancelled because of a team celebration. The team celebration in question was the popular dance called The Bernie. After careful consideration, ahem, the Perry Hall High School Principal reversed his decision.

PERRY HALL, Md. – Perry Hall Principal George Roberts reversed his decision that ended the season for the boys’ soccer team.

After Tuesday’s playoff win over Dulaney High School, team members performed “The Bernie” dance. Some Dulaney parents complained. “The Bernie” was inspired by the movie, “Weekend at Bernie’s.”
Roberts canceled the rest of the team’s season. Perry Hall was supposed to play in the state semifinals Friday night.

Because the principal originally cancelled the game, it will now be played Saturday at 2 p.m.
