US Lacrosse, Lacrosse Unlimited Agree to Sponsorship for US Lacrosse Championships

BALTIMORE, Feb. 15, 2013 — US Lacrosse today announced Lacrosse Unlimited as the official retailer of the US Lacrosse Regional and Under-15 National Championships. The two-year sponsorship includes five youth tournaments hosted by lacrosse’s national governing body.

“We’d like to thank Lacrosse Unlimited for sponsoring the US Lacrosse Championships,” said Rob Scherr, sponsorship manager at US Lacrosse. “US Lacrosse has hosted youth events for 16 years, allowing players to compete with class, honor the game and develop relationships with teammates and opponents alike. Our alignment with Lacrosse Unlimited will enhance the experience of our youth members and their families at our tournaments.”

“We’re very happy to continue our mutually beneficial relationship with US Lacrosse by powering the US Lacrosse Championships,” said Tim Fleming, director of event marketing at Lacrosse Unlimited. “US Lacrosse runs first-class youth tournaments, and we’re looking forward to engaging players, coaches and families at these events.”

Lacrosse Unlimited, a lacrosse-only retailer established in 1990, will sell official event merchandise at each of US Lacrosse’s five youth tournaments in 2013 and 2014.

Boys’ and girls’ U11, U13 and U15 teams may register at uslacrosse.org/events for one or more of four US Lacrosse Regional Championships by March 29. The championships, in chronological order:

US Lacrosse Southeast Championships, Powered by Lacrosse Unlimited: June 7-9 in Raleigh, N.C.
US Lacrosse Central Championships, Powered by Lacrosse Unlimited: June 14-16 in Madison, Wis.
US Lacrosse Northeast Championships, Powered by Lacrosse Unlimited: June 21-23 in Amherst, Mass.
US Lacrosse West Championships, Powered by Lacrosse Unlimited: June 28-30 in San Jose, Calif.

In the U15 division, the top four teams at each regional will earn automatic invitations to the fifth annual US Lacrosse U15 National Championship, Powered by Lacrosse Unlimited, July 23-25 (girls) and July 26-28 (boys) at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
