BALTIMORE, Sept. 3, 2014 — US Lacrosse today opened registration<http://usl.ebiz.uapps.net/personifyebusiness/EventsandClinics/2015NationalConvention.aspx> at uslacrosse.org for the annual US Lacrosse Convention, set for Jan. 23-25, 2015, in Baltimore. Lacrosse coaches, officials, administrators and sports medicine/fitness professionals can register for the sport’s largest professional development and networking event for the early-bird rate of $90 through Nov. 30.

“US Lacrosse remains focused on training and certifying coaches and officials so they can provide kids with a better lacrosse experience, and our convention represents the pinnacle of our educational events,” said Beth Porreca, director of special events at US Lacrosse. “Lacrosse coaches, officials and administrators will have countless chances to become better at what they do during the convention, be it through the 150 clinics or the equally invaluable networking opportunities. We are looking forward to a great event in Baltimore.”

The US Lacrosse Convention is comprised of approximately 150 educational sessions, many of which occur on four indoor demonstration areas surrounded by seating for attendees. The convention’s expo hall features 150 vendors, showcasing the latest lacrosse gear and apparel. US Lacrosse will host its Sports Medicine Symposium and Major League Lacrosse will hold its annual collegiate draft at the convention Jan. 23. The US Lacrosse Fan Fest will open the expo hall and demonstration areas to the public Jan. 24. Numerous US Lacrosse committees and other lacrosse organizations will host business meetings throughout the weekend.

US Lacrosse has secured discounted rooms<http://www.uslacrosse.org/events/convention-and-fan-fest/lodging-travel.aspx> for convention attendees and participants at the adjacent Hilton Baltimore, host hotel of the US Lacrosse Convention, for reservations made before Dec. 23.

The US Lacrosse Convention has drawn an average of 7,006 participants each of the last three years, making it the largest gathering of the lacrosse community at a non-field event each year.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
