STX Signs Five-Year Agreement With Top NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Team
Baltimore, MD – Baltimore-based STX, LLC, a global sporting goods leader, today announced that it has signed a five-year agreement with the University of Virginia (UVA) to be the exclusive official equipment supplier of the school’s women’s lacrosse program.
“We are really excited about our new STX sponsorship and feel honored to be a part of the number of great programs using the STX brand for our lacrosse equipment needs,” said Julie Myers, Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at UVA. “The entire UVA Women’s Lacrosse team is excited to make the switch to STX and to see where this year takes us.”
As a part of the sponsorship, STX will supply custom heads, handles and other equipment to the women’s lacrosse program. A top National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) team, Virginia women’s lacrosse has earned three National Championship titles. During Myer’s tenure, the Cavaliers have reached the NCAA Championship finals eight times and have won the title game of the ACC Tournament five times.
