WARREN, MICH., –October 14, 2014 – Warrior has signed Major League Lacrosse Rookie of The Year, Kieran McArdle, to its roster of sponsored players. Effective immediately, McArdle will wear Warrior gear on the field, while training and when relaxing off the field.
Warrior, the industry leader in Lacrosse, continues to build momentum by adding the top players in the game to its premier Players Club group.
“Kieran McArdle ran away with the Rookie of the Year award and with good reason, said Cale Werder, Brand Manager at Warrior. “McArdle set the bar for MLL rookie campaigns with the most goals and points by a first year player in the history of the league. While the expectations of Kieran were high this year, I don’t think anyone saw such a monster year coming. However, Kieran’s an exceptionally talented work horse and with his dedication, setting records isn’t a fluke. We should expect to see big numbers from McArdle for years to come and we’re thrilled to have a young gun of his caliber join the Warrior Player’s Club.”
“When Warrior approached me about signing with the Player’s Club, I didn’t think twice,” said Kieran McArdle. “That roster of athletes is the best in the game and being a part of the Warrior team is an amazing feeling. It’s been a fun year with signing on at Warrior and winning the Rookie of The Year award, but I’m already looking forward to next season with the Launch. We have a great group of guys and I can’t wait to get back on the field to pick up where we left off.”
Named the 2014 MLL Rookie of the Year team during a record-setting season, Kieran McArdle was a three time All-American at St. John’s University and has many outstanding achievements in his career. Some accolades include:
2014 MLL Rookie of the Year
2014 5th Overall pick in the MLL Draft
2012, 2013, & 2014 USILA All-American
2013 & 2014 Big-East Attackman of the Year
2013 Led NCAA in assists (3.77/game)
2013 Ranked 2nd in NCAA points/game (6.54/game)
