The World Lacrosse Championships begin tonight as the United States faces Canada at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The Canadian Lacrosse Association (CLA) announced today that forward John Grant Jr. will not be playing for Canada in the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Lacrosse Championships that begin next week in Denver, Colorado. BALTIMORE — Commerce City, Colo., will be the “Official Competition City” for the 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championship. The FIL World Championship is being run by US Lacrosse, the sport’s national governing body, and will be held from July 10-19 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City.
