Fields of Growth International, founded by former ND lacrosse player Kevin Dugan, took a group of 24 lacrosse players and coaches to Uganda this summer. They spent time coaching and teaching lacrosse in the capital of Kampala with the Uganda Lacrosse Union.

In addition to their lacrosse work, the Fields of Growth volunteers spent time around the Bwindi Impenetrable Rainforest. There, they worked with the Batwa Redevelopment Program and helped build a house for a Batwa Pygmy family of six. Volunteers helped frame and mud a house, complete with a metal roof, which will withstand the wet weather just a few hundred feet from the rainforest. Here is a brief video about that day.

This video, which was edited by Adam Little, captures the impact FOG has been fighting to make. The lacrosse community, and world for the matter, are very thankful to have individuals like those in Fields of Growth.
