Do you string your own sticks? If not, who does?

I string but never my own sticks. My buddy Connor Prescott (Lax.com) has strung my sticks ever since I started playing.

What kind of pocket are you using?

  • Mesh: StringKing 3S
  • Pocket placement: Mid to Low
  • Shooters: Three across the top
  • Whip: minimal with a lot of hold

How do you tape your sticks?

Nothing special with my tape jobs. I like to put tape about half way up the shaft with a knob around the butt end that’s about 2 inches thick.

Why do you like this set up?

I like keeping it simple so I don’t have to constantly tweak and mess with my setup.

How has your stick changed since college?

I use to have an absolute tennis racket in college. Had to extend the depth of my pocket because there are defensemen with a lot more precision in their stick checking.

Any superstitions or funny stories?

Used to always do the same eye black pattern and wear the same undershirt for every game but for some crazy reason I would still make mistakes during games. So I gave those all up and try to keep it simple leading up to competition.

What gloves are you using?

Warrior Regulators, palms cut out of course.

What’s your wallball routine?

I really like to freestyle when I go to the wall.  Of course want to make sure that I’m getting a ton of reps and keeping the pace up but I don’t usually put a routine together.
